Something of a man of mystery, UZ emerged into the world of constantly evolving bass music back in 2012, and his intense musical creativity has kept fans guessing ever since. Widely considered one of the founding fathers of the floor-shattering trap sound that has taken the world by storm, UZ’s innovative approach to production and impeccable reputation as a tastemaker has kept him on top of the pile for the past five years.

2017 is possibly set to be the biggest year to date with the release of his huge Layers LP, stacked with originals and collaborations with people like Oski, QUIX & Stooki Sound. Reaching five full years in the game this April, a giveaway of material from 2012-2015 hit well over 600,000 downloads – showing the consistent demand for fresh “Trap Shit” sounds, including the series of 25 tracks that fell under the same name. The likes of SPIN, Complex, Billboard and Hypetrak have offered their full support since the start, pushing his vision to a wider audience. UZ counts official remixes for the likes of Flosstradamus, Zeds Dead, 12th planet, Birdy Nam Nam, Ice Cube, Elliphant, GIA, Alvin Risk and DJ Shadow in his arsenal, whilst in 2013 he was commissioned to make a very special mixtape for Red Bull Academy.

Zeke Beats

Bringing bass to life with his analogue synth wizardry, ZEKE BEATS is quickly making a name for himself amongst the international bass community. It is hard to describe the futuristic sound ZEKE BEATS is pushing out, although influences of hip hop, grime, and bass are readily evident, creating a sound which has a profound impact on the evolution of modern bass music.

Most recently, ZEKE signed with Madison House – the home of bass royalty Bassnectar, as well as Jillionaire, Keys N Krates, Z-Trip and Hilltop Hoods. Add to this the release of his latest track ‘Bounce’ with Bassrush, hosts of the hottest bass stages at the hottest festivals in the world, as well as ZEKE’s headline support slot for Nero and you’ve cooked yourself up a pretty tasty 2016. There’ll be no easing up in 2017 though, ZEKE’s already been picked as one of inthemix’s 2017 breakthrough artists, has an upcoming collab with Eprom via The Gaslamp Killer’s soon-to-be-launched label as well as a masterful remix of Slumberjack’s ‘RA’ via Mad Decent that is set to blow minds and speakers.
