Michael has received commissions from Arts Council England and the Britten Sinfonia to write and perform new jazz and classical chamber music.

Michael Spearman has been a professional musician for most of his life, playing as a freelance guitarist, and working in all sorts of bands and groups. He holds the post of 'Associate Artist at Colchester Arts Centre', sponsored by the Arts Council East, Colchester Borough Council, and Signals Media Arts. He is a jazz tutor at Colchester institute.
Michael has been giving a series of concerts which are a fusion of chamber music with jazz, folk and world music improvisation, performed by the Michael Spearman Association,and with a 12 member chamber orchestra, exploring the power and influence of cinema. He has released two CDs with Karen Sharp and Jim Mullen. Other recent collaborators include John Etheridge, and Nikki Iles.
Rob Palmer has been playing bass for over 30 years. Having long ago committed himself to jazz as an electric bass player, he then took up the mantle on the double bass too.
Tom Jiggins is an award winning musician and teacher based in Colchester. He first started playing the drums and piano at age 11. After gaining a triple distinction qualification National Diploma in Music Tom studied for his music degree at Colchester Institute graduating with a Music BA (hons) in Piano and Drums.
