ARTWORK (MAGNETIC MAN/UK)

One of the original Croydon crew that helped shape the sound now known as dubstep, Arthur ‘Artwork’ Smith has been making house, techno, UKG and all-round London beats since the mid-90s. He started ur-dubstep Croydon label Big Apple at the shop of the same name, made the influential ‘Red EP’ in 2002, and let the teenage Skream and Benga hang out in his studio where they picked up production skills and honed their banter. He’s also one third of Magnetic Man, in case we forgot to mention.

Olles üks nendest algupärastest Croydon'i crew liikmetest, kes kujundasid välja soundi, mille kohta tänapäeval öeldakse dubstep, on Arthur "Artwork" Smith produtseerinud house'i, technot, UKG-d juba 90-ndate aastate keskpaigast.
