So we're reasonably confident this rainy stuff will pass and we might even see the sun before the day's out! But there's also a light north-easterly breeze due to render ebb tide unworkable at the coast – so we're going back to the river tonight. Meeting 6.15pm at Paper Mill Lock we're going to stick with a 6.30pm launch, head east into the breeze at least to All Saints Church, possibly Hoe Mill Lock, to turn by 7.20 and paddle back (against quite a strong flow, so plausibly taking a little longer than the way out!) We're sticking with this earlier start as it's probably our last chance to make last orders for pub grub before we knock our launches back to 7pm for the summer. This week we're planning to eat at the Generals Arms – please let us know if you're up for dinner so we can let them know how many are coming... (Unfortunately the trailer is out of action tonight, so there won't be any hire kit available until next week.)
